Music Together® Babies: 9 months and under
Babies class is specially designed to explore, treasure, nurture and develop your baby's music world. A wonderful, enjoyable mommy and me class filled with great information for new parents wishing to support their infant's music development from the very beginning!
Music Together Mixed Ages
Children ages birth to 5 experience the various stages of musical development through singing, movement and instrumental play. Strong child-parent focus enables each individual child's stage of development to flower within the larger community.
Music Together Guitar Class for Grownups
Under One Common Sky offers Music Together Guitar Class for Adults. The class is designed for parents and caregivers who wish to deepen their 'at home' and 'on the road' family experience of Music Together using the current semester's songs as repertoire and guitar as the vehicle. It was universally proclaimed a 5-star experience for parents involved in the pilot program last year and promises to be so again! Nourish yourself and your family by planting seeds of skill and creativity, leading to a grand harvest of joyful music.
KidStrums I
KidStrums I
Ages 8 - 12. A great opportunity for any child wishing to learn guitar step by step in a group setting. Your child will learn how to tune, finger primary chords and sing and play familiar songs. Yellow Submarine, Eleanor Rigby, classic folk, reggae and rock as well as originals are our playground! Basic song writing is introduced using simple chords and everyday life experiences as lyrics. Fun, focused and inspiring.
KidStrums II
What happens after KidStrums I ? Many KidStrums I students begin private lessons after the group class and ready themselves for entry into KidStrums II private study where guitar technique, repertoire, performance confidence and songwriting skills develop and deepen. The budding musician flowers in this challenging, creatively supportive environment. Students have fun playing more advanced all time favorites but they are now adding their own fabulous, funny, heartfelt songs and soundscapes drawing from the technical, chordal and conceptual palette as it develops. Students find their compositional voice in KidStrums II. This course of study is highly individualized, assumes a working knowledge of fundamental guitar playing and the student's desire to have their music arranged for an ensemble. Monthly Jazz Jam sessions are open to KidStrums II. Consult with Director 480-688-9597 to see if KidStrums II is the right level for you.
